Ute Valley Black and Blue Loop (Colorado Springs, CO)

Length: 2.4 mi Elevation gain: 193 ft

If you are looking for a good hike near Colorado Springs, we highly recommend checking out Ute Valley Park. It is a popular local destination to hike, walk dogs, and ride bikes. There are multiple parking areas but sometimes the early bird gets the parking spot.

The Ute Valley Black and Blue Loop is a relatively easy trail (but rated moderate mainly for the rocky terrain) and just 2.4 miles so, not too long and not too short. Goldilocks would say it is just right! It is well maintained, easy to follow and it features unique rock formations and beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and city. This is also a popular area for mountain biking so we would suggest keeping an ear out for passing cyclists.
